What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive.

ScienceProject uses Cookies

ScienceProject uses its own cookies for a number of purposes, including to:

  • Access your information when you "sign in," so that we can provide you with customized content based on your membership status.
  • Keep track of project guides that you select, questions that you submit, your grade and your email address.
     
  • Display the most appropriate links for your membership level.
  • Require you to re-enter your password after a certain period of time has elapsed to protect you against others accidentally accessing your account contents.

How can I set my browser to accept cookies?

Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences. 

If you are using Internet Explorer, you may select Tools (from the menu), Internet Options and then click on Privacy tab. Set your privacy to medium and select OK.
