What materials are acid and what materials are alkali?

A quick inspection of the material that we have at home such as foods, fruits, detergents, medicine and others shows that some of these materials are acids, some bases and some neutral.

 Project description
Do this project to learn more about acids and basic solutions. Test everything that you have around for acidic or basic indications. Use a pH meter, pH indicator paper or make your own indictor. If you also like biology, you may test the acidity of saliva in humans and different animals at different times of day. Every experiment that you do will teach you something and every step of that is beneficial. Do your research, perform some experiments and draw a conclusion.
