The Effect of Salt on Freezing Point?

 Introduction
Table salt and many other chemicals can affect the freezing and boiling points of water. This is the concept behind many products in the market such as Anti-freeze, ice-melters, etc.

However, those are not the only practical applications of this project. Many years ago, ice cream manufacturers used to make ice cream without electricity and refrigerators. How did they do that?

You may even want to create a low temperature for an experiment without using your refrigerator.

 Project description
This project will help you learn about the effects of salt (and possibly some other chemicals) on the freezing point of water. Collect information, run some experiments, record your observations and draw a conclusion. Your display can show some of the practical applications for changing the freezing point.
