How Do Waves Carry Energy?

 Introduction:
Waves, particularly those of large amplitude, contain large amounts of energy. Wave energy is a relatively new technology and research is still carried on.

With a clear limitation on fossil based fuel such as oil and coal, use of wave energy may soon become a necessity all over the world.
