Submarine: How to sink?
How to float? |
|
|
|
Introduction:
Have you ever tried
to push a ball under water? Have you noticed how hard it is? And
how it gets harder as you try larger balls? Submarines are
actually like a huge ball or a ship. Have you ever wondered how
can they go under water? or how much force is needed to push them
down?
Inside a submarine is empty
space for the most part and workers are working there and living
there for many months. Submarines are among
the most amazing machines.

Project
description
In this project you will study the
forces that make a submarine go under water and come back up to the
surface. Find out what is the relation between the size of a submarine
and the force needed to take it down.
This is mainly a display
(demonstration) project; however, with some additions you may use it as
an experimental project and have results tables and graphs for it. |
