Plant growth
Can plants
live without Carbon Dioxide? |
|
|
|
Introduction
Green plants use
carbon-dioxide, water and light to build starch that is the plant's
food. This process is called photosynthesis. It is well known that
plants can not live without water and light. But, what about
carbon dioxide? Can plants live in a clean air with just oxygen
and nitrogen? If humans find another planet with water, soil and
oxygen and no carbon dioxide, can you grow some plants and
vegetations there? |

Project
description
In this project we will investigate the effect of carbon dioxide on
plant growth, photosynthesis and starch production. You can perform your
experiments on young plants or plant your own seeds. Depending on the
procedures that you select, it will take 7 to 35 days to complete the
experiments of this project. Tests must be done with enough sun light
and proper temperature for plant growth. |
