Introduction:
Strength of material is affected
by many different factors including design, shape, material
composition, dimensions and other physical properties. The
strength of
materials is evaluated in many different ways. Tensile strength and
compression strength are among the most commonly used properties.
Some materials have a high tensile strength and very low
compression strength. Others have a high compression strength and
very low tensile strength. For an egg the only strength that is
important for us is the compression strength. |
