Ecology of a body of water
Annual
variations in the ecology of a body of water |
|

|
Introduction:
Ecology is a branch of science
concerned with the interrelationship of organisms and their
environments. In a body of water such as a pond, lake, river or
even a small bucket of water left in the nature for a long time, you
can find hundreds of living organisms. The type and the amount of
such organisms is affected by the season and long term weather
conditions. |

Project
description:
In this project you will make observation and record data about organisms
living in a body of water. You select the place and report its ecology
for a period of one year or at least 5 months so you can see the effects
of changes in seasons and weather. Your report may cover variation of
species, population and other life conditions of the organisms that you
choose to focus on. |
