A study of
the relation between
vegetation and insects |
|
|
|
Introduction:
In every ecosystem different
organisms affect each other to create a natural balance between
the type and the population of the members of that ecosystem.
Insects and vegetations are part of many eco systems including
ponds, gardens, woods and savannas. By understanding the relation
between insects and plants we may be able to control the
population of specific plants and insects as needed. |
 |
Knowing the relation between
plants and insects may help us to identify plants that attract or repel
pest insects such as mosquitoes. Such information may also help us to
populate our gardens and parks with plants that repel pest insects, but
attract good insects such as butter flies.

Project
description:
Gather information, make observations and perform experiments to
identify the relation between certain plants and certain insects that
can be found in your area. In your research you may also determine if
some plants and some insects are fully depended on each other and if destruction of one may result
in the extermination of the other. |
